Christmas Meditation 8

“Behold My servant whom I have chosen, my Beloved in whom My soul is well-pleased. I will put My Spirit upon Him, and He shall show judgement to the Gentiles.

He shall not strive nor cry, neither shall any man hear His voice in the streets. A bruised reed shall He not break, and smoking flax shall He not quench, till He send forth judgment unto victory.

And in His name shall the Gentiles trust.     Matthew 12:18-21

Surely He has borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows, yet we esteemed Him stricken, smitten by God and afflicted. But He was wounded for our transgressions, bruised for our iniquities; the chastisement of our peace was upon Him, and with His bruise are we healed.

All of us like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way, and the YHWH lays upon Him the iniquity of us all Him.     Isaiah 53:4-6

Behold the Lord YHWH will come with a strong hand, and His arm shall rule for Him. Behold His reward is with Him and His work before Him. He shall feed His flock like a shepherd; He shall gather the lambs with His arm and carry them in His bosom, and shall gently lead those with young.   Isaiah 40:10-11

And His mercy is on those who fear Him from generation to generation.      Luke 1:50
