Christmas Meditation 5

“I, Jesus, have sent mine angel to testify to you these things in the churches. I am the root and offspring of David, the bright and morning star.”   Rev 22:16

“Ho, everyone who thirsts, come to the waters, and he who has no money; come, buy, and eat! Yes, come, buy wine and milk without money and without price. Why do you spend money for that which is not bread? and your labour for what does not satisfy? Listen! Listen to Me, and eat what is good, and your soul shall delight itself in richness. Incline your ear, and come! Hear Me, and your soul shall live; and I will make an everlasting covenant with you, even the sure mercies of David.   Isaiah 55:1-3

And the Spirit and the bride say “come”. Let him that is thirsty come. And whoever will, let him take the water of life freely.”   Revelation 22:17

Behold My servant, whom I have chosen; my Beloved, in whom My soul is well pleased: I will put My spirit upon Him, and He shall show judgment to the Gentiles. He shall not strive, nor cry; neither shall any man hear His voice in the streets. A bruised reed shall He not break, and smoking flax shall He not quench, till He send forth judgment unto victory. And in His name shall the Gentiles trust.   Matthew 12:18-21

“Surely He has borne or griefs, and carried our sorrows; yet we esteemed Him stricken, smitten by God and afflicted. But He was wounded for our transgressions, bruised for our iniquities; the chastisement of our peace was upon Him, and with His bruise are we healed. All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way, and the Lord hast made the iniquity of us all to meet upon Him.”   Isaiah 53:4-6

Behold the Lord God will come with a strong hand, and His arm shall rule for Him. Behold His reward is with Him and His work before Him. He shall feed His flock like a shepherd; He shall gather the lambs with His arm and carry them in His bosom, and shall gently lead those with young.”   Isaiah 40:10-11

“And His mercy is on those who fear Him from generation to generation.”   Luke 1:50
